Financial Update for the First Quarter of 2010. Total offerings through March 31, exclusive of contributions for special appeals, were approximately $11,000 (5%) below the amount budgeted. Operating expenses were almost exactly on budget in the quarter, while benevolences were higher. As a result of the income shortfall, a transfer from the Reserve Fund of nearly $15,000 was required in the quarter.
The Haitian earthquake appeal raised nearly $9600 for Lutheran World Relief efforts in Haiti. Thank you for your generous support.

Did You Know that you can set up Grace Lutheran Church as a payee in your bank’s online bill-payment system? Just use the church’s address at 200 N. Catherine Avenue, La Grange IL 60525, and use your envelope number as the “account number”. You also can use the “memo” section in your bank’s bill payment program to specify the purpose of your check, (e.g. Weekly offering, specific blue-envelope Benevolences, a special appeal, etc.).
An increasing number of members are making their Offerings in this manner, thus avoiding the need to write out paper checks. Call Dave Kopp, Financial Secretary at the church office with any questions.
