OPUS members thank Home Bound Healthcare for the fall prevention program presented at the October OPUS luncheon. Thanks to everyone who helped make the luncheon possible, especially Gladys Schroeder.
The next OPUS luncheon is set for 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 11, when Bob Resch will present “Gardening in Your Living Room.” He will talk about how to take care of indoor plants and plants of the holiday season. There will be door prizes. You must be present to win. Mr. Resch is an experienced gardener with a lot of knowledge to share! There will be a free-will offering for lunch, and everyone is welcome.
The deadline for registering for the trip to the Chicago History Museum to see “Abraham Lincoln Transformed” is Tuesday, November 3. The outing is planned for Monday, November 9. The exhibit reveals the gravity of forces that transformed Lincoln’s views on slavery and the Union. Bus transportation, entrance to the museum and lunch at the museum are included in the $40 ticket price. Checks should be made payable to “Grace Lutheran Church.”
On Friday, December 11, OPUS will go to White Fence Farm for its fabulous food and a Christmas show sung by the Mestas, “Christmas through the Years.” The group will leave the church at about 10:30 a.m. and return at approximately 3:30 p.m. The cost of this outing is $54, including transportation, with checks payable to “Grace Lutheran Church.”
